Optical traps, also known as laser tweezers, provide the ability to non-invasively capture and manipulate microscopic objects such as cells, vesicles, and colloidal particles. The BioRyx 200 system employs Arryx's proprietary holographic optical trapping (HOT) technology to produce hundreds of optical traps, each of which can be independently configured and controlled with the HOTgui software.
